Tom Miers has written and researched extensively on public policy in Scotland over the last two decades. His latest book The Bargain is a sweeping analysis of Scotland's place in the Union from the original debate in 1707 to Brexit. After a career in finance, he worked with a number of think-tanks and campaign groups in Edinburgh, London and Brussels. He served as local councillor in the Scottish Borders from 2017-22.
